In late 2006, a large U.S. health plan sought to introduce a comprehensive wellness program to its employer customers and their members. The plan already offered its members Healthways SilverSneakers®, a fitness program for older adults. The decision to partner with Healthways on the wellness initiative offered the opportunity to expand an existing business relationship, rapidly reach the market with a top-tier wellness offering, and engage employers and their populations with a fully integrated suite of customized resources.

Fueling these goals since 2005 is RMHP’s relationship with Healthways, which began with the introduction of disease management services and recently included one of the first Corporate Well-Being Index® surveys conducted.
